社名のLargoは、  音楽で使われる速さを表す用語が由来です。
とてもゆっくり、おおらかに、幅をもたせて などの意味があります。
この地と呼吸をあわせ、日々の暮らしを紡いできた人の暮らしは美しく豊かで、その歩みはLargoのテンポ。

Largoには、優しい木陰という意味もあります。
厳しい自然と幾度となく向き合い培われた底力は、逞しさと惜しみなくもさりげない優しさとつながっています。

この土地と人に感謝と敬意をもち、受け継いでいけるように名付けました。

四国の中心に位置する徳島県三好市池田町は緑豊かな山間地に位置します。 山から切り出した材木と江戸時代からのタバコ産業で栄えた街でした。 山の斜面では固有の農作物が守り育てられ、独自の文化が発達しました。そして現在も知恵に溢れ自然に寄り添い、つつましくも豊かで美しい暮らしの息遣いはあちらこちらに感じられます。 Largoは、様々な歴史を持つこの土地と自然のもと、訪れた人もここに暮らす人も、全ての人が豊かさをバランスよく広く持続的に享受できる社会の実現をめざしていきます。

”生まれた土地という贔屓目かもしれない” 何度もそう思いましたが、確かめるように周った地元はやっぱりいいところ。 Largoは、自分のルーツを誇らしく思わせてくれるこの土地が末永く魅力を放ちつづけるよう、地域への貢献と信頼を変わらない方針としています。 ずっと守り伝えることは大切に、と同時により心地よく暮らせるための変化には意欲的に挑戦し、この地に関わるすべての皆様と共に喜べるために、不変と変化のバランスを大切に邁進してまいります。

Our name “Largo” refers to a term which describes the speed (tempo) of a musical piece, in that a largo tempo suggests a slow, easy-going, and broad arrangement.
Accordingly, the people who inhabit our area have developed lives which are rich and beautiful, and they step through time at the pace in sync with a largo tempo.
In addition to this, one of the most renowned largo musical pieces was by the composer Handel, and his operatic largo refers to the gentle shade that is provided by a tree.
It alludes to how the strength cultivated by confronting the harshness of nature results not only in sturdiness, but it also creates generosity and kindness.
So with this in mind, we have taken the Largo name with gratitude and respect to this land and to the people who shall inherit it.
Largo is located within the lush mountains of central Shikoku in the town of Ikeda, which is part of Miyoshi City in Tokushima Prefecture.
For hundreds of years, Ikeda established its roots as a commercial hub for the lumber and the tobacco trades.
On the surrounding mountain slopes, a variety of crops were cultivated, and a unique agricultural style was also developed that continues on to this day.
Correspondingly, whomever encounters this place can be overcome with the humble, prosperous, and beautiful life this place offers, which is also full of wisdom and deeply connected to nature.
So by bearing in mind this land’s commercial history and agrarian lifestyle, Largo aims to create a society in which all visitors and people living here can enjoy nature’s abundance in a well-balanced and sustainable manner. Business Profile

Greetings I’ve thought to myself many times in my life, “Perhaps I’m perceiving the land where I was born better than it really is,” therefore I returned to the place of my upbringing to find out whether my recollections were indeed true.
Largo’s goal is to further contribute to and entrust the community so that the land, which makes us proud of our roots, will continue to be attractive into the future.
It is important to forever protect and carry forward the traditions we revere, while at the same time, it is necessary to enthusiastically take on the challenges of ever-present change so that we can live more comfortably.
Therefore we shall cherish this balance between changelessness and change so that happiness can be maintained by everyone involved with this land.

住友桂子　徳島県三好市池田町出身。高齢者介護施設での相談支援業務に従事後、2007年より介護分野のQOL向上を計ることを活動の軸にアロマテラピ・ハーブ事業を始動。 幼児から高齢者まで幅広い年齢層を対象とした講座、ショップ経営、 医療機関・企業内でのセミナーや福利厚生サービス事業などを通し、地域振興や地方創生に関わるうち、より小さな集落の暮らしの美しさを再認識。地域の暮らしと文化が守られこれからも末永く続くよう、Largoを設立。社会福祉や社会貢献にも力を入れるかたわら、自然療法の盛んなドイツでの学びとハーブ栽培や研究、JFHフィールドガイド、地域資源の活用の視点から植物利用と生きがい支援についての研究をライフワークとしている。
